It’s Time to Hire an Evangelist!

No, I’m not getting religious here.  Though the late Billy Graham should certainly inspire you.  In fact, he claimed to be embarrassed to be called an evangelist – choosing instead to be called a “herald.” An evangelist came with the stereotype of asking for money.  That made him uncomfortable.

But a “herald’ is defined as one who announces or communicates important news.  That is certainly what Billy Graham did.  But isn’t it also what every company – start-up or established, small, mid-sized or large cap – wants?  Isn’t it what they need?

A Corporate Herald – someone who can get the good news out.  Someone who can turn the target audience (investors, media, employees) not just into people who know about the company, but people who truly know the company.   Those are the people who become your best ambassadors and often your best employees.

Call it what you will – an evangelist, a herald, an announcer – but get one.  The future of your company may just depend on it.
